TEAM STOHLQUIST

STEVE FISHER

Voted the "Worlds Best All-Round Kayaker" three times by his peers, Steve is arguably one the best boaters on the planet. Steve began paddling at the age of 6 on the Bushmans River, near his hometown of Estcourt, South Africa. 11 years as a Red Bull athlete, numerous first descents, inventor of many of today's freestyle moves, TED conference speaker, adventurer, filmmaker...his paddling resume is endless. Today, Steve focuses on expeditions and filmmaking. Most recently, Steve led the first expedition to successfully navigate the Inga rapids (the largest on the planet, running at nearly 1.6 million CFS.. about 100 times the volume of the Colorado River), and was named National Geographic's 2013 Adventurer of the Year. A long time Stohlquist team member, Steve is a go-to for testing and helping evaluate new gear. | Inga Project | Twitter | Red Bull Bio
